Global Logistics Management at Copal Tulum Hotel Optimized by CIDON's Expertise and Efficiency

CIDON Interior Design & Contract, experts in FF&E, streamlined the complex logistics of this project in Mexico, successfully overcoming its challenges.

CIDON Interior Design & Contract, experts in FF&E, optimized the complex logistics management required for this project in Mexico, successfully overcoming the challenges involved.

The CIDON team successfully completed the comprehensive furnishing of Copal Tulum, a project noted for its logistical complexity and the collaboration of several countries. In this project, the Spanish interior designer Clara Muñoz, then based in Mexico City, was hired by the property for the interior design, while CIDON was responsible for furnishing the entire hotel.

An International Project with Logistical Challenges

The execution of this project involved a carefully orchestrated international operation. CIDON received the specifications from Mexico, interpreted them in Madrid, and coordinated with suppliers in both Indonesia and Spain for the creation of the furniture. Construction plans were developed in collaboration with Asian manufacturers, and samples were sent to Riviera Maya for final approval in Tulum.

Later, CIDON carried out a complex triangular operation for billing, managing the origin in Indonesia and the destination in Mexico, including all the necessary customs coordination in Cancun. The merchandise was imported through Puerto Morelos and, due to construction delays, was temporarily stored in Playa del Carmen. After storage, some furniture required minor repairs due to handling, which was successfully resolved thanks to the collaboration of Javier Carrasco and his JCD construction group, with whom CIDON also collaborates on other hotel projects in Spain.

International Collaboration and Success

This project, which involved teams from Spain, Mexico, and Indonesia, was successfully completed, demonstrating CIDON's capability to manage complex, multinational projects. The Panamanian property was fully satisfied with the results, highlighting the smooth collaboration between all parties involved.

Copal Tulum, located in the Riviera Maya, now stands as a benchmark in design and comfort, with furniture that reflects the perfect integration of global influences and attention to detail in every corner of the space.

This project in Tulum reinforces CIDON’s extensive experience in the hospitality sector in Latin America, where it has collaborated for years with the Catalonia Hotels & Resorts chain. In their resorts in the Dominican Republic and Riviera Maya, CIDON has designed and equipped more than 400 rooms in various complexes, including the Catalonia Royal Tulum, Catalonia Riviera Maya, and Catalonia Playa Maroma. These projects included the exclusive Privileged rooms and those of ETC (Exclusive Travelers Club), considered the best travel club in the Caribbean, linked to the Catalonia chain itself.

In addition to rooms, CIDON has been responsible for designing and furnishing bars, restaurants, and other common areas in these resorts, consolidating its presence as a key partner in transforming spaces within the hotel sector.

These types of projects position CIDON as a benchmark for managing complex operations and closely collaborating with international brands, adapting to the specificities of each project and market, ensuring quality results and a design that resonates with the expectations of both the client and the final guest.
