CIDON PARTICIPATES IN THE REMODELING OF DREAMS CORFU RESORT & SPA
CIDON Interior Design & Contract , experts in interior architecture and decoration, as well as FF&E and OS&E equipment management for the hotel sector, has participated alongside Hotel Investment Partners (HIP), the largest owner of resort hotels in southern Europe, owned by Blackstone real estate funds, and the hotel management company Apple Leisure Group® (ALG), part of Hyatt, in the extensive renovation of the Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa, a 5-star resort in Greece.
CIDON, in collaboration with HIPartners, has executed and advised on the project located on the Greek island of Corfu, an idyllic spot with its coasts on the Ionian Sea, with traditional architecture among its ancient olive trees. The complex, divided into Suites and Luxury Rooms, where Unlimited-Luxury is offered, has been created.
HIP has invested approximately 29.2 million euros to update and transform the hotel, which will be managed under the Dreams® Resorts & Spas brand of AMR™ Collection, including its Unlimited-Luxury® concept. The renovation has included remodeling of both the common areas and the rooms, reinforcing the positioning of this 5-star hotel as one of the most exclusive in Greece.
As part of this large project, CIDON has been in charge of the design and FF&E equipment of the 330 rooms, suites, bungalows, and common areas, including 7 restaurants and 5 bars, El Core Zone Club, 2 pools, a preferred club lounge, gym, and spa. Exceptional quality has been required in all spaces, one of the greatest challenges that CIDON has successfully achieved to offer an atmosphere of relaxation and connection.
The CIDON team, composed of María Angélica Gaggia, Amaranta Acosta García, and Alejandra Jiménez, was responsible for the execution and advisory of the design and equipment project. The renovation plan of Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa has also received support from Alpha Bank, which provided financing for the capital expenses.
Last summer, the complex opened with 235 rooms, including 50 Preferred Club rooms. It is planned that by summer 2023, the hotel will have 337 rooms, of which 203 will be Preferred Club level. The gastronomic and leisure offerings have also been improved to adapt to the hotel’s new category: infinity pool, à la carte restaurants, lobby bar, beach bar, new entertainment area, and a new indoor and outdoor spa.
Dreams Corfu Resort & Spa is the first property of the Dreams brand to open in Greece, offering an Unlimited-Luxury® experience with luxuriously furnished rooms, a selection of international cuisine, and a wide variety of activities.
