Interior design with memory in the heart of Seville: CIDON’s project for Sercotel Sevilla Don Luciano
May 15, 2026

CIDON signs the comprehensive interior design of Punta Bermeja Premium Beach, a new hotel in the Bay of Cádiz

The project, developed for this new four-star superior hotel promoted by Grupo Armuño in El Puerto de Santa María, covers guestrooms and common areas, defining materials, coverings, flooring, ceilings, lighting, acoustics and FF&E from the early stages.

Punta Bermeja Premium Beach, located in the Bahía Blanca area of El Puerto de Santa María, just steps away from Santa Catalina beach, the Bay of Cádiz welcomes a new four-star superior hotel with a spa and wellness centre. For this new-build project, CIDON Interior Design & Contract has developed the hotel’s comprehensive interior design, addressing both guestrooms and common areas from a global vision of space and user experience.

Promoted by Grupo Armuño, a family-owned company behind other establishments such as Derby and América, in Seville, and Puerto Antilla Grand Hotel, in Islantilla, Punta Bermeja Premium Beach is conceived as a contemporary hotel proposal where spatial quality, comfort and durability are part of the project’s very foundation.

Comprehensive hotel interior design: basic, executive and FF&E project coordinated from the early stages

Within this context, CIDON’s creative team has approached interior design as an integral process, developing both the basic and executive design phases and coordinating the definition of materials, coverings, flooring, ceilings, lighting, acoustics and FF&E. This approach has made it possible to accompany the evolution of the construction process from its early stages and to provide the whole project with greater spatial, material and functional coherence.

The hotel’s interior concept begins with its relationship to the immediate surroundings: pine forest, dunes, beach, sea and sand. This reading of the location translates into a serene and timeless proposal, built around an honest and warm materiality, with the presence of wood, light stone, travertine, soft-toned renders, natural fibres and a neutral palette nuanced with controlled accents. The aim has been to create an atmosphere of sophisticated calm, aligned with the hotel’s location and designed to endure beyond passing trends.

Comfort, versatility and lighting design for large spaces

One of the most relevant aspects of the project lies in the treatment of large-scale common areas, resolved through criteria of perception, comfort and versatility. At Punta Bermeja Premium Beach, floors and ceilings take on an active role in the organisation of the space, helping to visually fragment large volumes, guide circulation and create more welcoming environments. This is complemented by a lighting strategy focused on atmosphere creation, with a predominance of indirect light and pieces aligned with the project’s material language.

Acoustics have been integrated into the ceiling solution from the construction phase, incorporated into the design from the outset and reinforcing user wellbeing in shared areas. This decision reflects a way of understanding hotel interior design through real comfort, where the experience is built through visual, tactile and sound-related factors.

Contract Interior Design: functional design, durable materials and versatile hotel spaces

The project also pays particular attention to the operational dimension, which is essential in the Contract sector. The common areas have been conceived to accommodate different uses and configurations without losing visual continuity or connection with the exterior, while the selection of materials responds to criteria of resistance, maintenance and durability compatible with intensive use. In guestrooms and bathrooms, the proposal combines sobriety, warmth and identity, incorporating material and chromatic solutions with character, always within a balanced whole.

With Punta Bermeja Premium Beach, CIDON signs a project that synthesises some of the most relevant keys of contemporary hotel interior design: early integration in new-build projects, attention to multisensory comfort, materiality connected to place and a Contract vision in which design, use and execution advance together.
