CIDON has been selected in a public tender by Paradores to carry out the remodeling of the interior of the Parador de Jaén.

Located on the top of Cerro de Santa Catalina, this imposing building by the architect José Luis Picardo (1965) represents an emblematic figure for the city, which dominates the horizon and offers an ideal place to discover all the charm of the Andalusian Renaissance.

Its monumental aspect maintains its architectural originality, with cross arches of 20 meters high in its main hall and impressive panoramic views of Alta Andalucía, frontier land, wild and agricultural nature, cradle of diverse cultures full of ancient treasures and hidden art.

A change of scenery that preserves the historic essence

The distinguished building is closed and under construction since last year, when the Board of Directors of Paradores awarded the partial renovation works to Acciona Construcción.

At the end of this reform, CIDON will be the studio in charge of refurbishing and decorating the whole hotel, giving it a fresh and elegant air and maintaining the historical essence of this meeting point, so important for the people of Jaén and key tourist location of the city.

Strong materials such as stone and wood, all the materials of the Parador de Jaén will be reinterpreted in a contemporary language in order to endow the interior of this unique place with the aesthetic of height that corresponds to it, curing the deviations of its use and contributing new solutions according to current life.

The project, signed by Carlota Tapia and Patricio Pemán, is a new milestone in the well-known trajectory of CIDON with Paradores, since it was already the studio chosen to make the interiors of Paradores as iconic as La Granja or Lérida.

As a company selected in the public tender, which was attended by renowned studios, CIDON is facing this exciting project with the professionalism and dedication employed in all its works, which stands out for their multifaceted character.

From urban hotels for Hilton, through beach resorts for Meliá or Catalonia to historical hotels like this one, CIDON adapts its portfolio of services to each project, always looking for excellence in execution and the complete satisfaction of the clients that have deposited their trust in them for the past 25 years.
