CIDON completes FF&E and OS&E delivery for Nômade Temple Ibiza, Portinatx’s new cultural and hospitality retreat

CIDON has led the delivery and coordination of the project’s FF&E and OS&E.

Nômade Temple Ibiza opens its doors in Portinatx following a comprehensive transformation, with CIDON Interior Design & Contract responsible for the project’s FF&E and OS&E: the furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies required to furnish and operate the hotel.

Nômade Temple Ibiza: architecture and interior design rooted in Portinatx

The new five-star property, owned by ARD Investment & Development, transforms the former BG Portinatx Beach Club Hotel, a seafront complex built in the 1970s in Portinatx. The architecture and interiors were developed by Oneness, Nômade People’s in-house design studio, with Betlinski Project Management overseeing construction coordination.

Retaining much of the existing structure, the project rethinks the complex’s relationship with the landscape. It strengthens connections between indoor and outdoor spaces and leads down towards the cove through new architectural volumes, terraces, pathways and native planting.

The architecture reinterprets elements of Ibiza’s rural building tradition through arches, rounded corners, deep walls and shaded spaces. Inside, white stone, sabina juniper wood, terracotta, zellige tiles and rustic stone establish a distinctive material palette. Furniture has been designed specifically for the different spaces and is combined with vintage pieces and internationally sourced objects, giving each setting its own personality while maintaining a shared identity connected to Ibiza and the Nômade world.

Against this backdrop, Nômade Temple Ibiza brings together 182 rooms and a wide-ranging programme spanning hospitality, dining, music, wellness and culture. Restaurants, a bazaar, a recording studio, the underground spa The Gön House of Healing and El Templo each serve different purposes and create distinct atmospheres. The result is a hotel that evolves throughout the day, where architecture, interiors, landscape and programming form part of a single experience.

FF&E and OS&E: furnishing an experience, not just a hotel

In a project where each setting tells its own story, furnishing the hotel had to go beyond conventional furniture supply. Guest rooms, restaurants, outdoor areas, wellness spaces and cultural venues needed to retain a recognisable identity while meeting very different operational, technical and functional requirements.

Within this context, CIDON took responsibility for coordinating the entire furnishing and equipment scope, working alongside Nômade’s architecture and interior design team throughout the process. Led by Teresa García Ramiro and Stephanie Chiarullo, the project required close collaboration with the client and suppliers, as well as precise management of multiple product categories encompassing bespoke pieces, handcrafted furniture and distinctive decorative objects.

Technical development, manufacturing and quality control

From reviewing and developing drawings and shop drawings to coordinating furniture manufacturing, quality control and value engineering, the work required continuous oversight to ensure that every element was consistent with the design and correctly executed.

Domestic and international logistics and on-site installation

The scope also encompassed domestic and international logistics, transport and unloading coordination, the organisation of installation teams and on-site personnel, the distribution of furniture and equipment across the hotel’s different areas, and final installation on site.

The objective was to maintain the traceability of every piece and coordinate all parties involved, ensuring correct execution and installation in line with Nômade’s quality and design standards.

With the opening of Nômade Temple Ibiza, CIDON adds a significant new Balearic hospitality project to its portfolio, reinforcing its experience in delivering complex furnishing and equipment programmes for luxury and lifestyle hotels.

Bringing a new approach to hospitality to life in Ibiza

Nômade Temple Ibiza restores and transforms a former holiday complex into a property integrated into the landscape of Portinatx. The project reuses existing structures and materials, with architecture adapted to the topography, organic pathways, native planting and a continuous relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Its offering includes varied dining experiences, spaces for music and social gatherings, areas for movement and meditation, a spa inspired by Ibiza’s caves, and venues for events, cultural programming and artistic creation.

Rather than replicating an established hotel model, the project seeks to create a place connected to the island’s identity and its long-standing ability to bring together travellers, artists, musicians and creative communities.
