REFURBISHMENT OF THE TERRACE AT HOTEL VINCCI LA RÁBIDA
CIDON, the driving force behind the reopening of the terrace at Hotel Vincci la Rábida in Seville after a complete renovation
Hotel Vincci la Rábida, located in the heart of Seville, has reopened its iconic terrace following an ambitious renovation project led by CIDON. The project, which ran from January to April 2024, has completely transformed the space, solidifying it as one of the most attractive spots in the city to enjoy its privileged views of the cathedral and the old town, while savoring the cuisine offered by the renowned restaurant El Mirador de Sevilla, highly appreciated by both tourists and hotel guests, as well as the Sevillian society.
The new design also offers a lounge area for relaxation, along with a space dedicated to informal meals and evening cocktails.
The CIDON team, led by Marta Galicia, managed both the renovation project and the supply of furniture, finishes, and equipment (FF&E), in addition to overseeing the entire construction. The main challenge was carrying out the work without disrupting the comfort of the hotel guests, carefully scheduling tasks to avoid any inconvenience.
One of the biggest technical challenges was determining the maximum weight the building could support. Initially, clay flooring was planned, but due to its weight and the uneven terrain, they opted for an elevated floor on plots, which allowed for leveling and improved water drainage during rainy days.
Another key feature is the high-end bioclimatic pergola, designed to provide maximum comfort for guests. Equipped with heaters, misting systems, and lighting, it seamlessly blends with the building’s architecture, offering protection from both cold and heat.
The terrace’s design, inspired by local craftsmanship and featuring vibrant colors that reflect the character of Seville, includes outdoor furniture and meets the quality standards required by the Vincci chain.
Vincci Hotels once again places its trust in CIDON, as it did two years ago with the complete renovation of Hotel Vincci Molviedro in Seville. Other hotel chains have also entrusted CIDON with their projects in Seville.
